TBS Amharic Scriptures

Our Amharic translator has worked extremely diligently in preparing a faithful new edition of the Bible in his native tongue. In 2014 the Amharic Gospel according to John was published, and the translator has, as of now, prepared all the books from Matthew to Ephesians in draft form. God willing, he hopes to start work on the translation of Philippians and Colossians soon, and we are pleased that the Lord appears to be opening a way for him to obtain contacts who will help proofread the draft text.   
 Alongside his translation endeavours, our translator is preparing a large booklet explaining the need for the Society’s new Amharic Bible translation. Please pray for the progress of the work in all areas, and especially for the Lord to provide suitable and reliable individuals to proofread the New Testament books already translated.
