Persian New Testament
15 October 2019
It is a great joy to report that the Society’s revised Persian New Testament is currently at the printers. God willing, we anticipate delivery of 10,000 printed copies by the first week of November.
The publication of the New Testament represents an important milestone in the Society’s project to revise the classic Persian Bible of 1895 and is the fruition of years of hard work by our main reviser and others who have helped him in the project. If the Lord will, there will be launch services for Persian speakers living in the UK during November, and the New Testament will be available thereafter.
We rejoice at the imminent publication of the New Testament and pray that it would be mightily used among Persian speakers across the world, especially those in Iran.
Substantial work has already been done on the revision of the Persian Old Testament in hardcopy, but it needs both to be reviewed and digitised. Please remember our chief reviser in your prayers as he shortly returns his attention to revising the Old Testament. ‘I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil’ (Psalm 119.162).
Details are now available for the New Testament launch and thanksgiving for the London and Cardiff events.
