It is good to inform readers that as a result of last year’s report, a native Italian speaker came forward offering their services to digitise the text of the 1821 Diodati Bible.

Accordingly, they have been engaged to digitise the whole Bible, and at the time of writing had prepared up to Isaiah with the TBS format marking system, and cross references as far as Deuteronomy. It is hoped that this detailed digitisation work will be completed later this year, after which the Editorial Department will need to check it.

Thereafter, the aim is to publish it on the Society’s online Bible platform and to use it to prepare a newly typeset text for printing, enabling the Society to publish its own edition.
