Trinity & Text Conference

Lord willing, TBS is planning two conferences in June highlighting the doctrine of the Trinity. Join us on June 14 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland or on June 16 in London, UK for a series of lectures on this important subject.

In seeking to help give a certain, true sound this year, TBS is highlighting the doctrine of the Trinity, both in writing and in conference meetings. The Society has stood for the Trinity since its inception in 1831. One of the factors that led to the formation of the TBS out of the British and Foreign Bible Society was around this matter of standing for the Trinitarian doctrine of Christ’s divinity and the need for prayer in the name of Christ at our meetings. The Society, as its name clearly implies, maintains a belief in the doctrine of the Trinity. There are three Persons in the eternal Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, one God in three Persons, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

The Trinity—indeed the entire doctrine of God—has been of particular interest in recent days. As with the basis for any true Christian doctrine, the biblical text on which it is based is vitally important, shaping our faith and belief. Historically and currently we find attacks on the doctrine of God and the Trinity through removing historic proof texts in Scripture or faulty translations repeating ancient errors.
