New Publication: Chinese New Testament

The Society is pleased to announce the completion of the Chinese New Testament. Of all the languages in the world, Chinese has the second greatest number of speakers. China has a very large population of around 1.4 billion people, and the language is widely used in other countries in the surrounding area. The sheer size of the Chinese-speaking contingent in the world underlines the great need for a faithful translation of the Scriptures into the Chinese language, which until now has not existed.

By the providence of God, the Society was brought into contact with a small team of native Mandarin speakers. Since 2012, these men have been prayerfully undertaking a new translation of the Scriptures into Chinese. According to the good hand of our God upon them and us, we have reached an important milestone in this project: the publication of the New Testament. We are very grateful for the substantial financial support given by GBS over many years for this major project.
