1,000 Bibles for Kenya

We were pleased to send over 1,000 English Bibles to Kenya for free distribution. English is one of the two official languages in Kenya, the other being Swahili. Both are widely spoken and understood throughout the country.

Large areas in Kenya are known to be Christian, with estimates ranging between 75% and 85% of the total population identifying as such; of these about 50% claim to be Protestant. The remaining population would largely be Muslim in the coastal regions and those who hold varying beliefs in the northern tribal regions.

As the Scriptures are distributed in Kenya, and particularly to school children, please remember it in your prayers. ‘So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it’ (Isaiah 55.11).
