1,000 Bibles for Nigeria
23 April 2024

There are over 230 million people in Nigeria divided into some 250 different ethnic groups and 500 languages—with the official language being English. About half of Nigerians identify as Christian and the other half as Muslim; a very small minority hold
to tribal African religions. Overall, Nigeria is not wealthy as over 40% of Nigerians live in poverty.

A recent grant of 1,000 Bibles was sent to this vast land to be distributed freely among those who cannot afford to buy their own copy of God’s Word. Many of these Bibles went to school-aged children.
Please pray for those who distribute the Scriptures and for those who receive them. ‘It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life’ (John 6.63).
