UK Prisons Receive Scriptures

21 May 2024

Prison is a time for self-reflection for one’s actions and at times this reflection can result in contemplating the eternal consequences sin. Many incarceration facilities have a prison chaplain to spiritually help the imprisoned, and these chaplains often depend on organizations like the Society to provide them with copies of God’s Holy Word.

Recently, a prison ministry collected a grant of 1,200 English Bibles, 400 English Gospels, 80 Polish New Testaments, and 20 Ukrainian Gospels according to John to distribute throughout the UK over the next two months.

After picking up the parcel, the prison ministry sent a note saying, ‘We are so grateful to everyone at the Trinitarian Bible Society for graciously providing the Scriptures to the incarcerated population.’ We extend this thanks to everyone who has prayed and donated to the Society for the distribution of Scriptures.

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness’ (Lamentations 3.22-23).
