Bibles for Angola
30 July 2024

With great pleasure, 1,820 Portuguese Bibles were sent to Angola for free distribution. Angola, a Portuguese-speaking nation in central Africa, is home to thirty million people, the majority of whom identify as Christian.
The grantee wrote two encouraging letters about the distribution efforts. The first note said,
Once again we have come to report a blessed delivery. We distributed seventy-five Bibles ... It was gratifying for CEDB and especially for the people to receive the Bibles. Even though we lack money for transportation, we are striving to ensure that more people can obtain the Holy Scriptures completely free of charge Glory to God.
A second note from the grantee stated,
We delivered 100 Bibles to a church located in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda. We had a good reception and the church showed great joy at seeing the donation.
‘I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope’ (Psalm 130.5).
