Faithfully Translating the Scriptures in 75+ Languages

The Society’s motto is The Word of God among all nations; and, over the past few years, the number of translation and revision projects has grown exponentially, with notable progress being made in many of these projects. In addition, many projects that we have been working on for many years are reaching milestones such as the publication of a gospel, New Testament, or Bible.

Our translation and revision projects in which we are currently involved or in which we have carried out research recently can be summarised as:

• 75 languages have a definite project in which some progress has been made over the last twelve months.
• 31 languages are undergoing research or we are providing consultancy advice, and/or exploring the possibility of doing some (further) work.
• 2 languages with stalled projects, yet some prospect of further progress.
• 3 languages in which initial work or research has come to a premature end (at least for the present).

We give thanks unto the Lord for the privilege of working in these languages, and for raising up men and women who desire to see faithful Scriptures in their heart language. Your continued prayerful and practical support for the Society, particularly for these projects is much appreciated.
