Boro Gospel according to John

Boro, also known as Bodo, is spoken primarily by the Boro people of Northeast India and Nepal by approximately 1.4 million people. The translation team are located in Assam.

The current Boro Bible was published in the 1960s in the now unused Latin script and is not based on the Received Text. Since 1975 the language has been written using the Devanagari script, which is also used for Hindi, Nepali, and several other languages.

The Boro Gospel according to John has been published online and preparations are underway for print publication. The team have also prepared much of the New Testament in the first draft, and, Lord willing, hope in the next twelve months to complete the draft translation of the whole New Testament. The Boro Baptist Convention and several other denominational groups are expected to be the main conduits of distribution.

• For the translation team as they finish the draft translation of the New Testament.
• For the distribution of the Gospel according to John, both in print and digitally.
• For the Scriptures to make many wise unto salvation, for the glory of God.
