TBS Materials Distributed in Uganda

07 January 2025

Christianity is thought to have first arrived in Uganda in 1877 by British missionaries, much later than in other African countries. Despite an initially troubling start, religious wars, and martyrs, Christian missions were well established within twenty-five years, with thousands of Ugandans identifying as Christian. Today approximately eighty-four per cent of the population identify as Christian.

We were pleased to receive photos and a report from a Christian organisation that recently distributed TBS materials to pastors in Uganda. This included Bibles, Words of Life and Golden Thoughts calendars, bookmarks, and colouring books. Please continue to pray for the distribution of God’s Word around the world.
