Special Edition: VE Day Gospel according to John

Almost 80 years ago, on 8 May 1945, the Lord granted victory to the Allied forces, bringing an end to the Second World War in Europe after six years of brutal conflict. During the Second World War, the Trinitarian Bible Society distributed many Scriptures among the armed forces, evacuees, and refugees, proclaiming the message of hope and salvation to people uprooted by conflict.

In recognition of this anniversary, we have published a commemorative VE Day 80th anniversary edition of the Gospel according to John. It features a message sent by King George VI in September 1939, commending the reading of the Bible to his people. A short preface outlines the work of the TBS during the Second World War.
