Using Calendars to Share the Gospel

For many years, friends and supporters of the Society have used our Golden Thoughts and Words of Life calendars as evangelism tools. Around the world, these calendars have been used to spread God’s Word. Over the past few months, 2,000 Words of Life calendars have been distributed in Kenya.

The following letter is from the grantee who received the calendars.

We would like to thank you once again for the generous grant of 2,000 calendars to be distributed in Kenya. The calendars have been distributed in various areas across the country; in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, and numerous areas in Western Kenya.

The calendars really assisted with outreach and enabled follow up evangelism with many people who had received 2024 calendars. Those who run market stalls and sell on the side of the streets accepted as did teachers in Schools and Church congregations. The lawyer who would assist us at times accepted a calendar for herself and her 10 staff members. Our audit company also gratefully accepted calendars for every employee. Return visits were made to guest houses to distribute to the staff who had assisted when we stayed with them. This year, they asked for extra so they could give to their family members.

Last year, while fasting during Ramadan, a calendar was accepted by a young Muslim man. He was excited to receive a calendar once again for 2025 and again while fasting. He stated that he would begin each day by reading the scripture verse because ‘it is the Word of God’. We pray for his salvation.

We have been once again amazed at how keen the people of Kenya have been to receive the calendars and how, through the distribution, there have been many opportunities to share the Gospel. May the Lord bless each and every one who has played a part in bringing the Gospel to the unsaved across the world.
