Advancing the Word in Central Europe: Translating the Scriptures into Slovak

Slovak, the official language of Slovakia, has a rich and complex history influenced by centuries of political and religious change. In recent years, Slovak Bible translations have followed the Critical Text, and there is currently no widely available, faithful Slovak Bible based on the Received Text. The TBS Slovak project, which began in 2020, is addressing this need by producing an accurate and faithful translation, with the Gospel of John and Romans already published; work continues on the remaining New Testament books.
