The Glasgow Auxiliary has existed since 2001 after the joint Glasgow and Edinburgh Auxiliary was disbanded. Meetings in support of the Society have been continued to be held in Edinburgh on many occasions. In the spring of 2019 a meeting was held in Edinburgh to explore the possibility of expanding the work of the Glasgow Auxiliary. Two additional men from within the Auxiliary region were appointed to serve as members of this committee. The aim of the committee is to oversee the growth of this important work, by seeking to further local interest in the work of the Society as a whole, as well as to fulfil the Society’s primary purpose in seeking opportunities to circulate copies of the Word of God in the Auxiliary’s designated region. With the expansion of the Auxiliary, it was decided to rename it as the 'South Scotland Auxiliary'. It is the desire of the Auxiliary that the Word of God might go forth amongst them as the Lord opens doors of opportunity. The inaugural meeting of the newly expanded auxiliary was held of Saturday 8 February 2020 near Glasgow with the Rev. Craig Dennison, a Deputation Speaker for the Society, speaking. |
