From Zimbabwe
Quite a good number of our members who left our church to join ‘prophetic’ churches which offer prophecy and healing have returned. They say they don't preach the authentic Word. We did not chase them; they came back on their own which shows that God is working in their lives and we thank you for your prayers. Thanks to the Trinitarian Bible Society for the Ndebele Bibles which have been distributed. Bibles in Shona and English would also be appreciated.
From Botswana
Each year, at the English-medium school we preach in every Thursday morning, we are able to give Bibles to the children who join the class. We teach Standards 4 to 7 which means that the new Standard 4 children are given a Bible at the start of each year, together with any other new students at the school in the age range we teach. These Bibles have been kindly supplied by brethren in Northern Ireland. Please pray that these children will read these Bibles and that as they listen to the truth of the Word of God each week, God will touch their hearts. The headmaster at the school is sympathetic to the teaching of Scripture and we have been going to this school now for quite a number of years. It’s the only school we visit where we just preach in English and all the songs we sing are just in English. In the other schools we use both Setswana and English, although, wherever possible, we keep to Setswana to make sure that all can understand.
From Malawi
We thank you very much for the Bibles and the calendars. We will benefit a lot spiritually from the Bibles and calendars. We thank you for your kindness. The work of distribution is going well. Am distributing the Bibles only to those who have a need, but the calendars will be distributed to every church member and friends. We praise the Lord for you and ask God to bless your ministry.
