Two Brothers Converted

Our senior UK Deputation Speaker recently heard the following cheering account.

Two brothers were clearing out their mother’s house after her death, when they found her pocket New Testament. One of the brothers put the New Testament in his pocket and when he went home began to read it. Eventually through the reading of the New Testament, the Holy Spirit brought him under conviction of sin and quickened him together with Christ. After his conversion he gave the New Testament to his other brother and challenged him to read it, and upon doing so, he too was converted. In this way, the prayers of a mother were answered after her death.

‘But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ’ (Ephesians 2.4-5).
