Visiting Care Homes

The Society’s Deputation Speakers travel many miles during the course of a year. They hold meetings at a large spectrum of churches to inform congregations of the importance and scope of the work of translation and distribution of the Holy Scriptures in fulfilment of the Society’s motto, ‘The Word of God among all nations.’

The Deputation Speakers also visit elderly care homes, where, in some cases, long-term supporters of the Society’s work are spending their last days. Recently, one of the speakers visited a care home in the South of England where one resident enthusiastically wrote afterwards ‘I strongly support your Society’s stand for the KJV (Authorised Version of the Bible)’. This elderly gentleman was especially interested in the recent publication of the diglot Gospel according to John in Chinese with English in a parallel column. He not only requested copies for students in his town, but was kind enough to make a donation designated for the Society’s on-going translation work.

May the Lord bless this faithful supporter. Also, we would pray that the Word of God would reach those that are reaching the end of their lives without having been brought into its Light.
