Appointment of a new Deputation Speaker
28 May 2019
It is due to the Lord's continued graciousness to the Society that we joyfully announce that the Lord has provided a new Deputation Speaker. We have recently appointed the Rev. Craig Dennison and we pray that the Lord would strengthen and uphold him in his new role. He has written the following account to introduce himself:
I was born and raised in Northern Ireland, a country with a rich Christian heritage. It is to my shame I rejected Christ’s overtures in the Gospel during my youth. During my time at University I came under conviction of sin and began to give serious attention to the Gospel of Christ’s saving grace—ultimately leading to my conversion. After a period of secular employment I felt God’s call to Christian ministry and studied at the Whitefield College of the Bible in Northern Ireland. I had the privilege of pastoring a congregation in Scotland before the Lord exercised me to pursue this role with the Trinitarian Bible Society. I am married to Emma and the Lord has blessed us with two children and another one on the way this summer.
By God’s grace I hope to promote the work of the Society wherever an opportunity arises. I would be delighted to come to any church who desires to hear of the work of the Society. I also hope to be present at conferences to share our important work with those who attend.
One particular ministry I hope to enlarge upon is that of young people. I hope to be able to represent the Society in schools, universities and youth fellowships and share with them the importance of our translation principles and encourage them to prayerfully support the Society from a young age.
By raising awareness of the work of the Society, I trust Christians will prayerfully support the efforts of the TBS and we will see an increase in God’s Word being shared among all nations.
